SRUC

This Skills for Work course is designed to introduce learners to the scope of opportunities for employment in food and drink manufacturing industry as well develop skills for learning, skills for life, and skills for work in the industry. Topics on this course include food science and technology, food safety, and product concept to launch. 

Who the course is for:
This course is designed for S4, S5, & S6 students interested in employment or further study in the food and drink industry and who are working (or expected to be working) at SCQF Level 5.

Duration:
This course is runs from August to April. 

Delivery:
This course is delivered by distance learning via an online platform with self-directed activities and online tutorial support. There will be some additional immersive practical activities within proximity of our Elmwood campus.  

Qualification:
Students completing this course are awarded an SQA accredited National 5 Skills for Work: Food and Drink Manufacturing Industry qualification.
