As well as an understanding of the commercial production of fruit, vegetables, flowers and ornamental plants, this course teaches how to address the design, establishment and maintenance of parks and gardens, open spaces and managed landscapes.
It will give you a broad base of horticultural knowledge that prepares you for work in any area of the industry, and establish your capabilities in horticultural science, experimentation in plant physiology and advances in horticultural technology.
Classroom teaching is supported by visits to growers and landscapes, during which you'll learn to evaluate management requirements and production methods.
The Horticulture BSc/BSc (Hons) degree is awarded by the University of Glasgow.
