Rural & natural economy
Working to ensuring innovative and sustainable behaviour change and policy that promotes resilience of rural economies and communities.
SRUC is one of the largest groups of economists and social scientists working in the rural, agricultural, and land-based sectors in the UK.
At SRUC, we take an integrated approach to complex problems to meet society's grand challenges. We examine how individual elements are connected and interdependent at farm and ecosystem level, in food supply chains, and in individual farmer and consumer behaviours in order to promote innovative and sustainable change for resilient rural communities and economies.
