  • Region: North America
  • Country: USA

Academic requirements:

  • Undergraduate applicants: High School Diploma (GPA 2.8 or higher with good grades in relevant subjects)
  • Plus a minimum score of 500 in each part of the SAT or a minimum composite score of 24 in the ACT
  • If you have attended a community college, you may be considered for advanced entry into year 2 of a degree course (with the commitment that you will continue until the end of year 4).

  • Postgraduate applicants: Bachelor Degree with a minimum GPA of 2.7 on a 4 point scale.
  • Applicants with lower qualifications and/or relevant work experience will be considered on an individual basis.

If you have other qualifications and are unsure if they meet SRUC's entry requirements, visit the Comparable qualifications page.

Please note that this information is intended as a guideline to allow you to broadly compare your qualifications to the British qualifications specified on the course pages. All applications are considered on an individual basis using a contextual admissions policy which may take into consideration your life experiences, demonstrated aptitude for your chosen course, aspirations and related skills. If you feel that you can offer relevant experience in place of qualifications, please contact us to discuss your application.

English language requirements:

All our teaching, learning materials, and assessments are in English. To study at SRUC, if English is not your first language, you will need to demonstrate proficiency in the English language. How to do this is detailed in our English language requirements page.

International students from the USA may require a visa to study at SRUC. Detailed information about applying for and obtaining your student visa can be found on our visas and immigration page.
