100% of our Higher Education Veterinary Nursing graduates and 100% of our Level 3 Diploma students secured employment at the end of their studies.

Veterinary Nursing is a career that involves caring for a wide variety of animals; mainly dogs, cats, rabbits and other small mammals, as well as birds, reptiles and horses. Some nurses may also be involved in dealing with farm animals.

Veterinary Nursing not only involves the care of the patient but also supporting procedures such as radiography, anaesthesia and laboratory work. Many veterinary nurses choose to work in a veterinary practice once they qualify, often progressing to senior nurse level, head nurse leading a team, or even practice management. A number of alternative employment options are available including pharmaceutical companies, nutritional advisers or pet insurance.

Animal Nursing/Care Assistants provide a valuable contribution to the veterinary team by supporting qualified vets and veterinary nurses in care and treatment of patients.
