Overview & what's involved

This is a training course only - a certificate of attendance will be issued. We'll guide you through the process with a balanced mix of theory and practice. You'll learn the relevant health and safety issues, as well as key legislation and risk assessments. A practical session identifying hazardous trees will also form part of the course.

Suitable outdoor clothing and footwear.

Worth noting: Although our course is mostly classroom-based, you'll be expected to be able to look at a range of trees outside.

Cancellations:

Cancellations must be made at least 10 working days prior to the course start date otherwise the full course fee is still payable. In the event that SRUC has to cancel a course for any reason your course fees will be refunded in full or your booking transferred to the next available date if this is suitable.

Certification

This course is Lantra certified but please note that from 1 April 2025 Lantra will no longer be producing Physical Certificates and/or Learner Cards. For Courses delivered after this date we are only sending eCertificates. Learners can order physical copies direct via the Lantra Learner Hub if required.
