HNC Wildlife and Conservation Management

The programme aims to provide a good understanding of different land uses and their impacts on conservation and wildlife management. Individual topics will investigate factors which have influenced the development of current land use. Candidates will also be introduced to the concept of sustainable land management through a greater awareness of their environment.

Candidates will be introduced to the policies and issues which will influence conservation and wildlife management in the future.

Please note: The distance learning option of this programme may require you to attend three study weekends at our Aberdeen campus.

You'll learn about all aspects of the countryside, including nature, conservation and wildlife as well as ecology, recreation, access and visitor management.

The course also includes practical experiences and examples through visits to reserves, country parks and wildlife sites.

Visits and residential trips are an integral part of the course.
