I am a Veterinary Clinical Pathologist at SRUC Veterinary Services in Edinburgh, bringing an international background in wildlife research, mixed practice and diagnostic pathology.

After graduating from the University of Lisbon in 2016, I completed an MSc in Wildlife Research in Ciudad Real, Spain, before working as a mixed‑practice veterinarian in rural central Portugal. My passion for wildlife health led me to Berlin, where I began a PhD at the Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research, developing innovative non‑invasive immunological assays for wild species.

I joined SRUC Veterinary Services in 2022, focusing on clinical pathology for companion animals, including the interpretation of haematology, biochemistry and cytology. I also undertake post‑mortem examinations for a wide range of species - small companion animals, exotic species in captivity and wildlife - supporting disease surveillance, welfare investigations, and diagnostic casework.

With a strong scientific foundation and a deep interest in wildlife health, I bring a highly informed and integrated approach to clinical pathology.
