Lorraine Strawhorn

I have been working for SAC Consulting for the last 20 years, specifically on the Scottish Farm Business Survey. Over this time, I have gained a great deal of knowledge about the data, especially how it is collected, processed and shared with the Scottish Government and Farmers. In my day to day, I am responsible for the updating of the database and workbook changes, assisting with queries on how to code the data into the system and dealing with unusual items that need to fit into the system. Assisting with the training of new staff has become a regular part of the job over the past few years. In the next five years I am planning to be working on upgrading the existing systems and processes to a more modern cloud-based version, this will be a challenge which I am looking forward too.

In my spare time I enjoy sewing, baking, knitting, and any type of craft, learning new skills is always fun.
