Hi I'm
Kirstyn Blackwood
- Position: Agricultural Consultant
- Location: Ayr Campus
-
Expertise:

I am an Agricultural Consultant based in the Ayr office. I mainly cover the South Ayrshire region although I also have clients in North and East Ayrshire. I help businesses with support scheme and grant applications, carbon auditing, technical advice, and business planning. My main area of specialism is livestock farming, in particular beef and sheep.
I have been involved with facilitating farmer groups such as FAS Connect, FAS Women in Agriculture and FAS Deer Farming. I am the producer for one of the FAS podcasts ‘Stock Talk’.
I am also currently the IACS coordinator within SAC Consulting, which involves working with a team to ensure our IACS systems and processes are as smooth as possible, and keep the consultants up to date with any IACS updates. I have worked at SAC Consulting since August 2017, before which I worked for an independent consultant whilst studying for my BSc Agriculture with Honours in Agriculture at SRUC.
I am actively involved with the running of the family sheep farm, which helps me to understand the challenges my clients face. Out with work, I enjoy training sheepdogs, socialising with friends and going on holidays.
