I am a dairy nutrition scientist with experience in the international feed industry, working to connect science and practice.
My interests are:
- Mammary physiology: rate of synthesis of milk protein, fat and lactose
- Intermediary metabolism: the pathways of nutrients after absorption
- Rumen physiology: digesting plant cell walls, building protein
- Methane and manure: the other products of the system
- Understanding feedstuffs: where the nutrients are
- Calf development and growth: growing better cows
