“All the lecturers were also consultants or researchers so were right at the cutting edge of their subject and knowledgeable about what was going on in the industry. The smaller classes and interactive style made a much better learning environment for me than an impersonal university lecture theatre.

My degree in agriculture was broad ranging, covering many aspects of food production, land use, and the environment. That was a pretty good base to build on.”

Agriculture, Rural and Environmental Studies

A doctoral programme designed for future leaders in agriculture, animal, rural and environmental science. This interdisciplinary programme is rooted in our internationally recognised research, offering opportunities to contribute to critical global challenges such as food and nutrition security, one health, climate change, and efficient resource usage.
