The Job:
As a Seasonal Nursery Worker, you will support our production teams in both the bareroot and cell-grown departments. This is a hands-on role involving outdoor and indoor work in all weather, with opportunities to learn new skills and contribute to the success of our nursery. For the right candidates, there may be the potential for ongoing or repeat seasonal employment.

The Company:
Christie-Elite Nurseries is one of the UK’s leading suppliers of trees for forestry, landscaping, and conservation projects. Every season, our team works hard to produce and dispatch millions of high-quality plants. We are now looking for Seasonal Nursery Workers to join us for the forthcoming planting season.
Key Responsibities:
- Grading Line: Sorting, grading, and packing plants to quality standards.
- Lifting: Hand-lifting and mechanical lifting of bareroot trees.
- Lining Out: Preparing and lining out stock for grading and dispatch.
- Health & Safety: Wearing PPE and following safe working practices at all times.
- Quality & Biosecurity: Handling stock carefully, reporting defects, and following biosecurity measures.
- Teamwork: Supporting colleagues and working flexibly across departments.
The Candidate:
Essential Skills:
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to work outdoors in all weather.
- Comfortable with physical, manual work and able to maintain pace and accuracy.
- Positive team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and follow training.
Desirable Skills:
- Forklift experience/licence (J1/J8 Rough Terrain, B1/B2/B3 Counterbalance, J4/J5 Industrial Telescopic).
- PA1/PA6 pesticide certificates.
- Previous horticulture, forestry, or agricultural experience.
Experience:
- Forestry/bursery: 1 year (preferred).
The Package:
- 6 month contract, 39 hours per week expected
- Competitive seasonal pay rates in line with the Agricultural Wages (Scotland) Order.
- Training and support from experienced nursery staff.
