What is a Veterinary Care and Animal Welfare placement?

Veterinary Care and Animal Placement (VCAW) is a year-long programme at SRUC, starting in September and ending in June the following year made up of college attendance, self-study, exams, tutorials, and practical, hands-on work with animals.

As part of the course, VCAW students are required to participate in 320 hours of practical, in-practice work. If your practice would like to get involved and host a VCAW student (paid or unpaid) placement, we'd love to hear from you.
