Overview & what's involved

SRUC Veterinary Services has produced an online CPD module to support BVD (Bovine Viral Diarrhoea) control and eradication. The module provides technical information to support you in running BVD programmes for your clients.

Once the course has been activated you can dip in and out, completing as little or as much of the course as suits your time. In total the course will take no more than 3.5 hours to complete and will count for 3.5 CPD hours. You will receive a certificate on the successful completion of the course.

Vets working in Scotland and practices outside Scotland with Scottish clients can access the module free of charge. Please contact cpdforvets@sruc.ac.uk or call 0131 535 3130 to request your enrolment key and information on how to access the course.

Please note that this course is online and on-demand. This means that once you've registered for it, you will receive your online login credentials to start and complete the course at any time.

Full description

This is the same training as the Scottish Government's statutory training module under Article 6 (2) of the Bovine Viral Diarrhoea (Scotland) Order 2019.

The course is in five parts. Parts 1, 2, 3 and 5 include an assessment.

You have to score 100% in all of the assessments and view all of the slides in the part without an assessment (Part 4) in order to complete the course. You have an unlimited number of attempts at each assessment, but for each attempt you will receive a different mix of questions. When you complete the course you will be able to download or print a completion certificate.

Cancellations:

Cancellations must be made at least 10 working days prior to the course start date otherwise the full course fee is still payable. In the event that SRUC has to cancel a course for any reason your course fees will be refunded in full or your booking transferred to the next available date if this is suitable.
