The Job:

As an Industrial Mechanical Engineer, you’ll work as part of our on site engineering team to keep our plant equipment running smoothly. No two days are the same, you’ll be problem solving, maintaining machinery, supporting improvement projects and learning from experienced engineers. Your responsibilities will include; carrying out mechanical maintenance and repairs on plant equipment, diagnosing faults and completing routine servicing, supporting planned preventative maintenance, reading and interpreting engineering drawings, working alongside experienced engineers to solve technical challenges, contributing to projects that improve safety, efficiency and reliability and helping maintain a strong safety culture across the site.

The Candidate:

  • Final year mechanical engineering students.
  • Recent engineering graduates.
  • Early career engineers looking for hands on industrial experience.
  • Interested in how mechanical systems work in a real manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with conveying systems (screw conveyors, chain & flight conveyors, belt bucket elevators) and pneumatic systems.
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety.
  • Good IT and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive, reliable, and team-oriented.
  • Able to carry out tasks in a dusty, noisy, and physically demanding environment (reasonable adjustments available).
