Engagement Officer - British Texel Sheep Society

The Company:

The British Texel Sheep Society is a forward-thinking, member-focused livestock charity at the heart of the UK sheep industry. With over 2,000 members and 18 regional clubs, it is one of the largest and most influential sheep breed societies in Europe.

Its purpose is the development of the British Texel breed, setting the standard for excellence across pedigree registrations, livestock improvement, and industry innovation.

Working with the society means you’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of activities, from attending livestock sales and shows to contributing to leading breed development services. You will have the chance to make a real impact supporting members and shaping the future of the UK’s leading terminal sire sheep breed. The Candidate:

• Good general education to GCSE or equivalent (desirable - Degree in Agriculture, Rural Business etc.).
• Proactive and organised.
• People focused.
• Digitally astute.
• Passionate about livestock production.
• Experience with farming or a livestock business.

• Employer pension contribution 3% (auto-enrolment scheme – employee 4%).
