Natural Leader bursary
If you are a postgraduate student from England, Wales, Ireland, the Channel Islands, or the Isle of Man the Natural Leader bursary offers £2000 toward your fees.
Developing future leaders for the nature-based economy
The Natural Leader Bursary is designed to support ambitious postgraduate students who aspire to lead positive change across the nature-based sector. The bursary recognises that the future of food, land use, environmental management and sustainable business depends on skilled, values-driven leaders with strong commercial insight.
This bursary supports students who are developing advanced business, management and consultancy skills through one of SRUC’s specialist Business MSc programmes, and who are committed to applying those skills to nature-based industries and organisations.
Applicants must:
- Have applied to study one of the below four full-time MSc courses delivered at SRUC Aberdeen or Edinburgh, starting September 2026:
- MSc Business Consultancy
- MSc Project Management
- MSc International Business
- MSc International Food and Agriculture Business
- Be students whose fee status has been identified as 'Rest of UK or Ireland' (England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Republic of Ireland and Channel Islands, Isle of Man).
- Demonstrate an interest in leadership, sustainability and the future of the nature-based sector
- Not hold any other SRUC Scholarships

Higher education funding
Higher education (HE) qualifications at SRUC include: HNC, HND, BA or BA Hons, BSc or BSc Hons, MSc, PG Certificate, PG Diploma, PDA at SCQF Level 7, Top-Up Degrees, and MRes.
Support funds
Regardless of your course, level of study, or residency status, you may also be eligible for a number of support funds to pay for tuition, living expenses, and other costs associated with studying at SRUC.
