Our instructors will guide you through a balanced mix of theoretical and practical sessions. You'll work on a number of appropriate techniques and safety guidelines. Key maintenance issues will be covered. You'll also go over cross-cutting, handling and stacking timber and basic felling (Up to 200mm).

- Maintaining the guide bar
- Power unit maintenance
- Starting the chainsaw and pre-cutting tests
- Cross-cutting timber
- Assess worksite and prepare trees for felling
- Felling techniques
- Branch removal, snedding and delimbing
- Taking down hung-up trees using hand tools
- Clear working area and equipment checks.
