How to apply for a college course

Those wishing to apply for college courses such as National Certificates (NC), National Progression Awards (NPA), Certificates and Diplomas, and Professional Development Awards (PDA) should do so via the SRUC website.

Find your course in our course catalogue. Under Apply now, select the correct campus, start date, and mode of study. You will then be taken into our online applications system.

It is also possible to download a paper application form, either as PDF or Word document. But your application will be processed more easily if it is entered online.

How to apply for a full time undergraduate course

Those wishing to study an undergraduate course (BA/BSc degree, Honours degree, HND, HNC) full-time have to apply through UCAS.

Those wishing to apply for part-time or distance learning undergraduate study should do so through the SRUC website.

Find your course in our course catalogue. Under Apply now, select the correct campus, start date, and mode of study. You will then be taken into our online applications system.

How to apply for a taught postgraduate course

Please take a careful note of the correct application process, as this differs depending on the course you wish to apply for.

 

Full-time postgraduate degrees

Those wishing to apply for MSc courses run in collaboration with the University of Edinburgh should apply via the University of Edinburgh.

These full-time MSc courses are accredited by the University of Edinburgh and delivered by SRUC. Applications should be made to the University of Edinburgh. Please visit the University of Edinburgh webpages for further details.

Distance learning

For distance learning courses awarded by the University of Glasgow, applications are made direct to SRUC.

Find your course in our course catalogue. Under Apply now, select the correct mode of study. You will then be taken into our online applications system.

It is also possible to download a paper application form, either as PDF or Word document. But your application will be processed more easily if it is entered online.

How to apply for training courses

SRUC's Training Service offers a wide range of training and skills development courses to meet the needs of the land-based workforce.

Experienced instructors and assessors deliver recognised qualifications from relevant industry awarding bodies including, BASIS, BHS, BIIAB, DMQ, City and Guilds, CPCS, Lantra Awards and REHIS.

How to apply for a short course

SRUC offer the opportunity to study one or more of the modules from our qualifications as short courses. These can be for continuous professional development, training or leisure purposes.

Should you wish to do so, can apply using the SRUC Short Course application form. Please download the form and read the notes section carefully.

Before submitting the form, you will need to contact a member of teaching staff at SRUC who will help you to complete the form and approve your choice of modules.
