After qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse with a Bsc (Hons) Veterinary Nursing from Edinburgh Napier University in 2006, I worked in a busy small animal practice in Inverness before moving to Caithness to begin my career in Veterinary Nursing education in 2010. For 13 years I worked as a Lecturer and Programme Leader in Veterinary Nursing at UHI North Highland.  I also worked as an OSCE examiner for City and Guilds, assessing Veterinary Nursing Students for their final practical exam.

I achieved my Pg Cert TQFE teaching qualification in 2018 and I am currently working towards a masters degree in Tertiary and Higher education. Throughout my time in education, I have regularly returned to Veterinary Practice as a locum RVN to help to keep my skills and knowledge up to date, so you may occasionally see me around in my greens!

In my spare time I enjoy running and walking my Springer Spaniel Otis.
