PhD title

  • Simulating soil N2O emissions from the arable soils of Scotland
    Produce model-based regional estimates of soil N2O fluxes from Scottish arable soils and quantify estimates’ uncertainty.

Selected research projects

  • Model inter-comparison on agricultural GHG emissions (AgMIP)
    Performed model simulations/evaluation/calibration using measured data for 10 global experimental sites.
  • Assessing the performance of the DNDC model in simulating crop yields, N2O emissions and soil NH4 and NO3 concentrations under different fertiliser treatments. (MSc thesis)
    Evaluated the DNDC model against a range of field measured data.
  • Simulating the dispersion of particulate matter during the potential collapse of a contaminated building. (Undergrad thesis)
    Assessed the possible health effects of the collapse of a contaminated building using air dispersion modelling and GIS.
