How will I be taught at SRUC?

SRUC takes a blended learning approach to delivery of its programme of study. This means our programmes follow a mix of on campus and online activities. This allows us to focus on campus activities on active and interactive learning.

On-campus teaching will focus on hands-on, practical learning, such as in our workshops, farms, glasshouses, animal centres, outdoors and in our laboratories. The sessions will be in small groups and interactive.

They are supported by high quality online teaching, with regular touch points for you and your instructors to come together, check on progress, give feedback and to support learning.

You will be able to access your timetable through the MySRUC app before your course starts. In the meantime, to help you plan any travel and accommodation that you might need, we have an online tool that lets you know when you can expect to be on campus.

What services are available on campus?

As well as a library and student support services, each campus has a range of facilities. You can find more information on what is available on our campuses page.

What extra-curricular activities can I get involved in at SRUC?

A key part of the student experience at SRUC is the time spent outside the classroom. SRUCSA, our Students' Association, offers a wide range of student-led clubs and societies, to make sure your free time is as enjoyable as the time spent in the classrooms.

Who do I go to if I have questions, queries or worries?

At some point during your studies, you may well have a question that needs answering. No matter what the worry, help is at hand within SRUC. Our student welfare page has useful information on who your main points of contact are.
