**This course is being updated for the 2024/25 academic year and will be reopened to applications soon**
This one year part time course comprises four taught modules. The Principles & Practice module provides an overview of the philosophy, principles, history and development of the organic farming industry, and introduces the Organic Standards and the ways in which they are used to regulate the organic food and farming industry. Alongside this, three further core modules focus on the technical production aspects of organic farming and food, covering organic crops, grassland, livestock, soils and nutrient cycling.
Delivered in partnership with the Organic Research Centre, this course is offered on a part time, distance learning basis. Once you have completed these four taught modules, you may have the option to progress to PGDip.
