SRUC’s training restaurant at Elmwood has undergone a makeover during the summer and is now open for lunchtime bookings.
The Themes Restaurant is run by hospitality students and is open to the both staff and the public, offering great service, value for money and spectacular views over rural North-East Fife.
The transformation includes a new colour scheme and soft furnishings designed to create a relaxing and restful atmosphere.
The facility, which also includes a training bakery as well as the training restaurant and two training kitchens, provides a fantastic, realistic working environment for students both front of house and behind the scenes.
Hospitality lecturer, Careen Brand said, “We are looking forward to welcoming new and familiar faces to our training restaurant. Regular customers will see the transformation the dining area has undergone and we hope they enjoy the new ambience as much as we do.”
With the new intake of hospitality students the training restaurant will now be open on Thursday and Friday lunchtimes.
