Dr Jet Mars of the Dutch Animal Health Service, Deventer will be giving a presentation entitled Monitoring Cattle Health for Farmers, Industry and Government, the perspective from the Netherlands.
This seminar takes place as part of the Moredun Research Institute Seminar Series, on Wednesday 20 June at 1.00pm.
Dr Mars is visiting SRUC, hosted by George Gunn and George Caldow in Veterinary Services. Collaboration with the Dutch Animal Health Service has been important in the development of the planned approach to infectious disease that SRUC Vet Services has developed over the years and Dr Mars has been particularly influential in this collaboration.
Dr Mars will be participating in a number of events during her visit, including a workshop on BVDV and BHV1 national control programmes and a seminar on Johne’s disease control at SRUC’s stand at the RHS later in the week, however for all those interested in providing veterinary services to the livestock sector and how the Netherlands have approached cost sharing provision of this service this seminar will be of particular value.
