Scotland's Rural College has been shortlisted for two national higher education marketing awards.
It was named as a finalist in two categories in the Higher Education Information Services Trust (HEIST) Awards – recognised as the sector’s marketing ‘Oscars’ for the UK.
In the Best Prospectus from a Specialist Institution category, SRUC’s 2018 publication has been shortlisted alongside those of other small specialist institutions from across the UK including Harper Adams University and the Glasgow School of Art - a Gold Award winner last year.
The second nomination is in the Best Low Budget Initiative category where SRUC has been shortlisted for its “Hortus Homicida” Garden Design recruitment campaign which ran in the spring of 2018. The campaign, which centres on a student-created Show Garden design for Gardening Scotland, has already won a Silver award for Communications and PR at Scotland’s Colleges’ College Development Network Marketing Awards earlier this year.
The HEIST Awards are the biggest event in the Higher Education Marketing calendar and celebrate the excellence and innovation of everyone involved in education marketing across the UK, from regional colleges to global university brands.
Hannah D’Mellow, Marketing and Student Recruitment Manager, said: “We are absolutely delighted by this double nomination. We are a small institution and a small team, so to receive national recognition is a really special achievement.”
The HEIST Awards ceremony takes place in Manchester on Thursday 12 July.
