Sheffield based John Scholefield is the latest recruit to the SAC Consulting Veterinary Services team in England.
He will assist Alison Braddock in supporting the analytical and
diagnostic laboratory services offered to veterinary practices south of the border
by SACVS, which includes the Premium Cattle Health Scheme and Premium Sheep and
Goat Health Schemes.
Braddock, Marketing and Business Development Manager, said: “I look forward to
working with John. Together we plan to continue developing the partnership
between SACVS and practices and other clients in England and Wales.”
With practical experience of farming in Yorkshire John worked in the
livestock procurement department of a major beef processor for the last four
years, gaining valuable understanding of a wide range of cattle farming
systems, processing practices, supermarket supply chains and end-consumer
From his base in Sheffield he will
work closely with the SACVS team at St Boswell’s and Edinburgh focusing on the
Health Schemes in addition to general marketing and promotional support.
John said: “I have always found animal health to be one of the most
interesting aspects of agriculture and I look forward to working with farmers,
breed societies and veterinary practices to promote our Livestock Health
Schemes and laboratory testing.”
