  • Expression and perception of emotional states in farm animals, especially face-based expression perception
  • Understanding the impact of negative emotional states on the day-to-day life of farm animals, using judgment bias methodology.

PhD title

  • Face-based perception of emotions in small ruminants
    My PhD is funded through of a collaboration between INRA’s PHASE department (France) and SRUC. The aim of this project is to study face-based perception of emotions in sheep and goats but also to gain a better understanding of how emotional states affect emotion recognition and the wider consequences for social livestock species.
