Iris Ross (WoSAC 1967/68) Mr Stephen White is hoping to get in touch with Iris Ross, who would have completed her studies at the West of Scotland Agricultural College in 1967 or 1968. There is a 50th year reunion for a school leavers group known as “The Bridge in Britain”, who volunteered on a kibbutz in Israel in 1968, and the group would love for Iris to attend. Class of 1958, Horticulture, Auchincruive John Shaw is searching for his classmates who made up the Scottish Diploma in Horticulture class at the West of Scotland Agricultural College from Oct 1956 to August 1958.
They comprised: Eric Steele; Charles Duncan; Arthur Robertson; Gordon Robertson; John Dewar; Jan Archibald and Ilona Dron (and John C Shaw). If these names ring a bell, please get in touch with the Alumni & Friends office.

Mr Ralph Scott, who now lives in New Zealand, would like to make contact with his classmates from the West of Scotland Agricultural College.

Mr Scott studied Agriculture 1957 - 1958, and Dairying (SDDH & NDD) 1960 - 1962.

Calling new members for the Edinburgh Agricultural Society!

Former Agriculture or Farm Business Management students
The Edinburgh Agricultural Society has been going since the 1960s. Members consist of former students who studied Agriculture or Farm Business Management. The majority of current members attended the East, West or the North of Scotland Colleges - and they are on the look out for new members.

The Society run tours to farms every summer, mostly to one county within the UK. Last year they went to North Norfolk and visited Holkham Estate.

From time to time the Edinburgh Agricultural Society go overseas, including places like California and Zimbabwe.

This year they are off to Czech Republic, where they will be touring cities and countryside whilst visiting vineyards, Salix Morava farms (crops & livestock), Co-op Farm Kokory (hops), Agrovation Horsch Farm, Pojedy Farms (livestock breeders) and the Kozel Brewery.

Oatridge Agric College- Class of 74/75 and staff Mark Russell, Class of '75, Oatridge Agric College, is keen to get in contact with fellow alumni or staff. As a student Mark went on Oatridge's first French exchange trip. He stayed on as a staff member, working for many years as a technician in the Engineering Department.

Mark was a keen sportsman, winner of the Binny Race and also the Golf Cup 2 years running. He has long been living in the USA, but would like to get in contact with any Oatridge alumni or staff members from this era. Please contact the alumni team!
