Scottish Water Sustainable Land Management Incentive Scheme

Scottish Water Sustainable Land Management Incentive SchemeWhat is it?

A funding scheme to help land owners, managers and tenants in identified catchments to prevent diffuse pollution reaching water sources. Land managers, owners and tenants can apply to the scheme for assistance in financing measures aimed at contributing to the improvement and protection of water sources in the catchment, over and above regulatory compliance.

What does it fund?

Depending on the priorities in the identified catchment, the scheme could fund installation of a biobed, substitution of plant protection products or livestock fencing and drinking trough installation. The scheme may provide up to 100% of the financing required to implement the measure proposed up to a maximum of £20,000 per business.

How to apply

Note there is limited coverage for this scheme. Check if you are in a designated catchment and what measures Scottish Water may be able to fund in that catchment. For further information see Scottish Water's Sustainable Land Management webpage.
