How to Deposit

Submitting your work for deposit in the SRUC Repository is simple and straight-forward. The process is integrated with that of submission to the SRUC Research Publications Database.

Once your paper has just been accepted by a publisher, please complete the Publication Deposit form (access within SRUC network or Staff Desktop only). Complete the compulsory fields and attach a copy of your final accepted manuscript. By doing this within 3 months of the acceptance date meets the new REF Open Access requirements.

Most publishers do not allow their final published version to be deposited in the repository, however many do allow the author’s final peer reviewed version to be included. If you are able to supply this version, please do submit it.

Once your form is submitted, it will be forwarded for checking and entry into the internal SRUC Research Publications database and the SRUC Repository. If the electronic version does not comply with publisher copyright policies for full-text inclusion in the repository, you will be contacted to provide an alternative version if possible.
