Equine & Horse Care

There is a rapidly increasing interest in working with horses as a career, in competition, or in associated activities.

Working with horses is more a way of life than a regular job, but for those who are devoted to horses and have the motivation to work whatever the weather or time of day, this provides its own unique rewards.

Whatever your chosen career as a professional equestrian, there is a wide variety of jobs within different types of organisations, and our courses at SRUC will give you an excellent overview of the different career paths.

There are many employment opportunities within the industry, including riding instructors, grooms, stud assistants, workers in racing yards or in the HM Forces or the Police Force.
