Activity Tourism

Activity Tourism is an area that has been growing strongly over the last 20 years.

Government initiatives to promote healthier lifestyles have led to greater demands on existing facilities and on the creativity of professional staff to develop activities that interest individuals and encourage involvement.

Activity Tourism covers a range of spheres from “active” holidays involving canoeing, climbing, horse-riding and mountaineering, to the less physical, yet still activity-focused areas of nature watching, food trails, or local culture and heritage trails.

Our courses aim to provide students with an understanding of the broad area of activity tourism, encompassing both active and less active activities.
