Coronavirus (COVID-19) update.

Pony Club Centre

Barony HorseBased at the Equestrian Centre on the campus at Parkgate, Barony signed up to become a Pony Club Centre after overwhelming demand from young riders taking part in their riding school courses.

The Pony Club is an international youth voluntary organisation founded  over 80 years ago to encourage young people to ride, learn and enjoy horses.

Jackie Irving, who heads up the Equestrian Centre at Barony, said:

"We were already an approved British Horse Society Where to Train Centre so becoming a Pony Club Centre seemed like a logical next step. It means we can offer fun and affordable access to riding for school aged children who
don't have their own pony, as well as trips and social occasions.

Barony Horse"Safety is our number one priority, closely followed by making sure all our young riders have lots of fun. For those who want to take things further there are also plenty of opportunities to learn, achieve badges and awards. There has already been a lot of interest in the centre and we're looking forward to seeing our members flourish."
