2014: Referendum 2014 – How Rural Scotland Voted

On 18th September 2014, the Scottish Government held a referendum on Scottish Independence with the ballot paper question: ‘Should Scotland be an independent country?.

This research report analyses the geography of the results from the referendum, specifically looking to see if there were differences between rural and urban areas.
