- Decision making behaviours
- Perception of environmental risk
- Regulation and behavioural change
My main interest lies in understanding the drivers behind decision making at the farm level. This has included investigations of farmer attitudes, intentions and values, as well as the influence of government and supply chain on directing and affecting decisions for on-farm decision making.
Recent work has examined farmer perspectives towards climate change as well as the drivers towards climate related risks.
Further work has examined the perceptions of environmental risk within cattle systems.
In addition, a growing field of interest has focused on the influence of regulation towards farmer decision-making, as well as perceptions towards sustainable intensification. I have around 50 publications and outputs for government and the industry sector, some of which are contained in my staff profile.
