SRUC is committed to continuous development of its staff, and any support we offer is in line with The Concordat to support the Career Development of Researchers and the Athena SWAN Charter.
Specific training regularly on offer are Grant Writing and Winning, Project Management, Writing for Publication, Leadership (SRUC is a member of the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education). In addition, in 2013, SRUC has introduced a new mentoring scheme. Informal mentoring has long been happening throughout the institution but we felt that a more formalised programme would better fulfilling staff needs.
CROS and PIRLS Survey 2013
The Careers in Research Online Survey (CROS) and the Principal Investigators and Research Leaders Survey (PIRLS) have been designed to capture the anonymous views and experiences of researchers working in higher education in the UK. SRUC participated in those surveys for the first time in 2013.
