SRUC Aberdeen has three residences with 98 rooms, offering both standard and en-suite accommodation on Campus. We also have two HMO properties for mature students. Each property has 4 bedrooms and shared living facilities.
Should the number of applications for accommodation exceed the number of rooms available, all applications will be prioritised on the basis of distance of home address from the Campus, with applications from students living the farther distance ranked higher/prioritised.
Time is available at Open Days to view accommodation options and accommodation details are always sent to applicants to whom an offer is made.
Halls of Residence and Facilities
Residential self-catering accommodation is currently available in Sutton Hall, Hunter Hall and Mackie Hall on the Craibstone Estate. There is ample on-site parking.
Sutton Hall is our main hall of residence, with 60 en-suite (with shower) study bedrooms. We can also provide up to 8 twin rooms. Three rooms on the ground floor are wheelchair accessible.
Hunter Hall has 17 single standard study bedrooms, each with a wash hand basin. There is also a flat with 3 small single standard bedrooms. Craibstone Bar is located in Hunter Hall, as well as a TV Room and snooker room.
Mackie Hall has 18 single standard study bedrooms, each with a wash hand basin. This accommodation is for under 18s only. A large common room, snacs@macs cafeteria and shop facilities are also located in Mackie Hall. snacs@macs is open Monday-Friday from 8.00am to 3.30pm for the provision of meals and snacks.
All bedrooms have Wi-Fi. Each hall of residence has kitchen/dining areas. Laundry facilities, consisting of washing machines, tumble driers, ironing boards and irons are also available for residents use.
There are Residential Safeguarding Officers to deal with any issues/problems that arise in halls outwith office hours.
