Changes to Rules for Cattle moving into Scotland

Cattle moving into Scotland will no longer require additional BVD testing when the holding of birth has been continuously Cattle Health Certification Standards (CheCS) accredited as "BVD free" since the animal was born.

A list of CHeCS accredited holdings can be found here for HiHealth Herdcare and here for Premium Cattle Health Scheme.  CHeCS members should check with their scheme provider to ensure that purchased animals comply with scheme rules.

All cattle are labelled as "risky" on ScotEID upon entering Scotland. Qualifying cattle will have this label removed, at the beginning of each week, once additional data on the animal’s holding of birth has been received from BCMS.
