Flexible Training Opportunities
Open to Scottish businesses with up to 150 employees, or those classed as self-employed or sole traders, giving them the opportunity to apply for up to £5,000 towards employee training costs. Funding is available for up to 10 employees per business and the money is not a loan so there’s no need to pay it back.
They will refund up to 50% of each episode of employee training up to a maximum of £500 for each employee. For more information on how to apply for the funding visit the Skills Development Scotland website.
Funding in support of training and skills development for farming business in Scotland is now offered through the Scottish Rural Development Plan (SRDP) and Land Management Contracts (LMCs). Such support is normally restricted to business principals and their immediate families and employees.
