The Covid-19 pandemic has caused the world to slow down, and with this we have seen a reduction in emissions.
As society starts to speed up again, global emissions are following suit. In the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, is Scotland taking the right steps towards a green recovery? What will our post-Covid-19, post-Brexit world look like? Can we achieve net-zero by 2045 in line with the Scottish Government deadline by recovering sustainably from Covid-19?
We need to take this chance to build back better, and greener. In this webinar, we will be drawing on the expertise of our guest speaker and asking the questions to determine if Scotland is building back into a greener, more sustainable environment.
We will be hearing from Professor Sir Ian Boyd, the Chief Scientific Advisor at the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs from 2012-2019 and Professor of Biology at St Andrews University.
Our speaker will give a 20-minute presentation. This will be followed by a Q&A where we will invite you to ask questions and share your thoughts.
