Our Stump Grinder training course will provide you with the appropriate techniques and safety guidelines to ensure that you are not only confident when using the stump grinder but that you are also aware of relevant health and safety guidelines making sure you stay protected and leads to City and Guilds assessment for the NPTC Certificate of Competence in Stump Grinding Operations.

Start the machine and carry out safety checks
Preparation of site, machine and materials
Operation of stump grinder
Unblocking stump grinder

There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
Certification/Award on Completion
City and Guilds NPTC Certificate of Competence in Stump Grinding Operations
What you will need to bring
Appropriate PPE, Equipment, Passport Photograph and Packed Lunch.

1 day plus assessment
9am to 4.30pm approximately
On customer premises, SRUC Barony Campus, SRUC Oatridge Campus
Prices for this course will be given on request. Please contact the campus to receive a quotation. Our course fees include training, assessment and registration fees. Please note there is no VAT on our training.
Individual Training Accounts will open on Monday 13 January 2020.
This phase of the scheme will accept up to 10,000 new applications.
SDS Individual Training Accounts (ITA)
You may be eligible for part funding to support the cost of this course.

How do I book?
To book a place on one of our courses, please complete and return the course booking form to the appropriate campus address or email address shown below. Course fees must be paid in full at the time of booking. Payments can be made over the phone using a debit/credit card, by cheque made payable to SRUC or by Bank Transfer (for bank transfer details please contact your chosen campus).
Cancellations must be made at least 10 working days prior to the course start date otherwise the full course fee is still payable. In the event that SRUC has to cancel a course for any reason your course fees will be refunded in full or your booking transferred to the next available date if this is suitable.
