Our Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide for Vertebrate Pest Control comprehensive training course has been developed in conjunction with industry and RAMPS (UK) to ensure users of Aluminium Phosphide are adequately trained. Aluminium Phosphide is a dangerous compound which used incorrectly can be hazardous to the health and safety of users, the general public and non-target animals, therefore it is essential that people are trained properly in the safe use of aluminium phosphide. This one day training course willl provide a full working knowledge of commercial products and application equipment to be able to plan, implement and monitor a control programme appropriate to the situation using efficient and safe methods with regard to the environment.
On completion of the training you will be able to recognise the symptoms of phosphine poisoning, be able to apply technical and operational controls to avoid exposure, be able to identify target animals and undertake a survey to determine their presence, interpret product labels, know how to apply a treatment safely and effectively and retain appropriate records.
The training is ideal for pest control operatives, game keepers, people working in agriculture, horticulture and conservation.
On completion of the training you will receive a certificate of attendance providing you with the performance criteria to complete a Level 2 Award in the Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide for Vertebrate Pest Control licence to practice.
