A three-day REHIS certificated training course.
What is Involved?
• Food microbiology
• Food poisoning
• Food Preservation
• Legislation
• Food Storage & Temperature Control
• Prevention of Food Contamination
• Design, Construction & Cleaning of Food Premises & Equipment
A 2.5 hour written examination follows this course, usually the week following course delivery.

Pre-requisites for this course are: Elementary Certificate in Food Hygiene
Certification/Award on Completion
Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland Certificate

Cost
£300 per candidate (VAT exempt).
Our course fees include training, assessment and registration fees. Please note there is no VAT on our training.

Important update
Individual Training Accounts will open on Monday 13 January 2020.
This phase of the scheme will accept up to 10,000 new applications.
SDS Individual Training Accounts (ITA)
You may be eligible for part funding to support the cost of this course.
Get up to £200 towards the cost of a training course with an SDS Individual Training Account (ITA).

How do I book?
To book a place on one of our courses, please complete and return the course booking form to the appropriate campus address or email address shown below. Course fees must be paid in full at the time of booking. Payments can be made over the phone using a debit/credit card, by cheque made payable to SRUC or by Bank Transfer (for bank transfer details please contact your chosen campus).
Cancellation
Cancellations must be made at least 10 working days prior to the course start date otherwise the full course fee is still payable. In the event that SRUC has to cancel a course for any reason your course fees will be refunded in full or your booking transferred to the next available date if this is suitable.
