This one-year course (offered at SCQF Level 5) will give you the core skills you need to take on the many opportunities offered by the horticulture industry.
You'll learn about establishing, growing, and taking care of plants, as well as how to keep them healthy. You'll also gain some transferable skills that increase your chances of finding work, like how to work well with other people and how to manage and improve your own performance.
Horticulture graduates have gone on to find roles at every level in garden centres, plant nurseries, with soft fruit producers and in general crop production, among many other things.
You can achieve a Modern Apprenticeship by completing this qualification plus a one-day emergency first aid course and one other industry specific certificate.
