This Parks, Gardens and Green Spaces qualification covers a range of subjects, including how to estimate the resources you'll need and programme work effectively, and how to coordinate the planting of crops and plants.
You'll learn plants botanical names, and about dealing with pests, diseases and disorders. You'll also gain additional skills to take into any job, like promoting, monitoring and maintaining health, safety and security and managing your own resources.
This course is available at Elmwood in East Fife, and Oatridge in West Lothian — each campus offers specific additional units.
The course is designed to give you the knowledge and skills you need to become a technician or take on a supervisory role in the horticulture sector.
