Business-like and socially conscious students at SRUC’s Oatridge Campus have organised a table top sale to support the World Horse Welfare Charity.

The sale, run by students on the Equine Studies HND course, will take place at the Scottish National Equestrian Centre during the Show Jumping Schooling Night on Wednesday 7th November.

An average of 30 equine sport enthusiasts use the centre’s arenas to perfect their jumping technique and many more accompany them and their horses at schooling events.

This event is an opportunity to sell your new or used equipment, your crafts or even those items that you had thought about trading on Ebay. The students are keen for the public to join them in supporting a good cause, either by selling or just by coming along and picking up some bargains.

Those interested in selling pay just £5 for a table to display their wares and entry for those looking to buy is free. Tea, coffee and cakes will also be plentiful! To get involved please contact Ealana Swinton-Boyle via ealana@btinternet.com or 07786080443.

The World Horse Welfare Charity devotes its resources to caring for horses that have suffered abuse or neglect. Their four UK centres take in close to 200 horses annually, rehoming over 200, while their officers make visits to nearly two thousand cases of reported cruelty to horses.
