We may not have had the greatest farming weather this summer, but business at the Halls of Residence on SRUC’s Aberdeen Campus certainly hotted up this year!
Business Development Manager Gwen Bruce reports she started taking in business during the turnaround week and it just escalated from there.
A wide variety of folk have been staying, including a Saudi family who took up a whole wing of Sutton, a group on an archaeological dig, some Poles attending the Survivex Training Centre in Dyce, contractors working in the area, a group of GPs and many, many more. On occasion the halls were full and people were turned away! The business has certainly exceeded the expected income for the holiday period.
Comments left in the book include:
- Thank you for all – everything good
- Nice place – happy stay
- Perfect for a visit
- Nice people – great breakfast
- Had a great time here
- What a good night – thanks
- Perfect for us – near the airport
Our Property and Estates Group (PEG) and caterers Sodexo enjoyed the summer and meeting people from all different walks of life. The Estates team will testify to the hard work involved, but well worth it to receive the great comments. Gwen would like to thank everyone who contributed to making this our most successful summer at halls!
