Elmwood’s Special Day

Published Wednesday, 10th October 2012

The final graduation ceremony for students of Elmwood College marked a significant day in the history of the college.

As it is now part of SRUC future students attending the Elmwood campus will graduate from Scotland’s Rural College.

Guest speaker, Sir Menzies Campbell, Liberal Democrat MP for North East Fife, spoke of a summer of great sporting achievements and the challenges that lay ahead for the graduates as the made their way in the world. He then presented the students with Higher National Certificates and Diplomas and VTCT qualifications.

The event was a huge success with graduates and their guests travelling from across the UK and beyond to be part of the day. Also amongst the audience were local politicians and representatives from partner organisations and nearby secondary schools.

The afternoon ended in brilliant sunshine as everyone headed outside for photographs and refreshments; it was a very special day for everyone associated with Elmwood.
